Bristol is known internationally for its nightlife and is one of the most popular stops in the South West for party goers.
Many Bristol clubs are legendary, from Thekla, Bristol’s floating club on a boat, to The Fleece, an iconic live music and club night venue in a former sheep market.
Bristol is also home to the multi award-winning Motion, which has been names one of the best clubs in the world. Another iconic part of the city’s nightlife scene is Lakota on Stokes Croft, which has been hosting DJs, live music, circus, comedy and more since 1992.
Basement 45 is one of the city's most popular dubstep and techno clubs, while Lost Horizon hosts a range of DJs throughout the year. Clock Factory in the city centre host popular dnb nights, or you can attend raves in a subterranean car park with Underground Bristol! Trinity Centre and The Jam Jar, both near Old Market, host a mix of live music and club nights throughout the week.
You'll find a variety of themed nights at smaller venues across the city, including The Love Inn, The Crofters Rights and Attic Bar on Stokes Croft, Cosie's in St Pauls, or The Old Market Assembly and Exchange on Old Market. Keep an eye to the listings at The Island and Strange Brew in the city centre too!
Bambalan also host well-known DJs for their terrace parties in summer, Document in St Judes run their Courtyard Sessions with live music, DJs and street food in the warmer months, and Alfresco Disco organise some of the city's most popular outdoor events.
There are regular club nights at O2 Academy and The Lanes, plus big-name DJs and dance nights at SWX and Pryzm. Bristol also has some popular LGBTQ+ clubs: OMG and Queenshilling, both on Frogmore Street in the city centre.
