Designated as a World Heritage City, it's well worth taking a day trip to Bath to enjoy the Roman Baths, hot springs and stunning Georgian architecture.
Getting There
It's really easy to get to Bath from Bristol. Regular train services run between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa stations with a journey time of around just 12 minutes.
Bath can also be reached via the A4 or leave the M4 at Junction 18 and take the A46 into Bath.
Alternatively, there are plenty of attractions and activities located between the two cities. The Bristol and Bath Cyclepath offers a dedicated cycleway through glorious countryside.
Avon Valley Railway offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and see some of the stunning West Country by steam train.
Horseworld is a must for horse lovers and is also a good day out with those who are just keen to learn more about equines.
Roman Baths is a world heritage site. Imagine the Roman gentry relaxing in the baths.
