Joseph is the Word!

Danny Zuko finalist Wayne Smith, from the popular ITV series 'Grease Is The Word' joins BBC counterparts Craig Chalmers and Chris Barton on stage as the powerful Elvis like Pharaoh in Bill Kenwright's production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

The 26 year old singer from Preston impressed judges with his singing and dancing talents in the hit ITV show, where contestants battled it out week after week to play the role of Danny in 'Grease The Musical' for London's West End. Swapping his leathers for a Vegas white suit (Biblical style of course!), Wayne is set to storm the stage again as Pharaoh in this autumn's tour.

He joins 20 year old BBC finalist Chris Barton who takes the stage alongside fellow 'Any Dream Will Do' contestant Craig Chalmers (Joseph), in Bill Kenwright's renowned production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Chris plays the role of Benjamin, and the Lancashire born musical theatre student's aspirations really will come to life as he joins the superb company of performers for this autumn's tour. Chris, who started singing at the age of four, will also be playing Joseph twice a week, a role which mesmerised him as a child. Watched by millions every Saturday night Chris was one of the most popular finalists from the hit BBC TV series, which was produced to find a leading man for Andrew Lloyd Webber's new West End production.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including 'Any Dream Will Do', 'Close Ev'ry Door To Me' and 'One More Angel'.

Joseph bursts on to The Bristol Hippodrome stage from the 19th - 24th November but tickets are already selling fast so book now!
