Wookey Hole Caves & Papermill

With new attractions, great new facilities and the classic glory of Britain's most spectacular underground caverns, the centuries-old site near Wells in Somerset has been given a brand new lease of life.

Last year the "Valley of the Dinosaurs" opened. A full size King Kong now sits at the entrance. You can stroll amongst the full sized dinosaurs, or relax in the "Enchanted Fairy Garden" with fairies, dragons and elves.

Indoors there is a revolutionary pirate ship 'Zap Zone' adventure which is named "Pirates of the River Axe". You can also watch the Youth Circus in the new Big Top Theatre. See the exciting museum. The Wookey Bears which is officially the world's most famous bear collection in the world and be amazed at the World of Miniture and the New Clown Exhibition.

Road Directions

Leave the M5 at junction 22 and follow the brown and white tourist signs for about 18 miles via Axbridge and Cheddar to Wells.

If coming from Bath, take the A39 to Wells.
