About
Brandon Hill Nature Park is located in the city-centre and is a haven for wildlife. During spring and summer there are many beautiful flowers that blossom here in the park, which give the park some colour.
The park is often used to picnic and is suitable for a family day in the park. In the middle of the park there is Cabot Tower, a 105 ft tall tower which provides stunning panoramic views of the entire city. Access to the park and climbing Cabot Tower is free of charge.
Besides green fields, a tower and pretty flowers there is a pond in which frogs, toads and newts live and various birds can be seen and heard throughout the park.
The best time to visit the park is from March till August. Dogs are allowed into the park, but must be on a lead. The park is very hilly and therefore may be challenging for wheelchair users. The parking opportunities on adjacent roads can be limited, so the park is best accessed by foot or public transport. The nature park is only a 10 minute walk from the city centre.
