In this section, you'll find everything you need to help you get around once you arrive in Bristol. The area section is a great starting point to work out what's what in each district of the city, including the accommodation and attractions you'll find in each.
As the UK's first cycling city, we have plenty of traffic-free cycle paths and places to hire bikes across the city as an easy way to travel around. There are plenty of walking routes, but if you're pushed for time or need assistance getting around, there are regular buses that run to several locations in and around the city centre.
Take a TIER rental e-scooter or e-bike for a carbon neutral way to explore Bristol. Users will need to download the TIER app and create an account and prove they are over the age of 18 with a valid full or provisional driving licence to ride an e-scooter. E-scooters and e-bikes cost 99p to unlock and then 16p per minute, or you can choose from a variety of passes.
Taxi services are extremely reliable and we list those that have received the Gold Standard Accreditation. Alternatively, flag down one of the blue metered taxis and they'll get you wherever you need to go safe and sound. You can also travel in style with a chauffeur or hire a car.
No matter whether you go by public transport or under your own steam, there's a vibrant local world waiting to be explored.
